Hyatt to debut Alila brand in Japan with Hakone mountain retreat
Located within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Forest, Alila Sengokuhara Hakone lies in an area known for its seasonal appeal, art museums, volcanic landscape, and breathtaking viewpoints in the direction of Mount Kintoki.
Hyatt Hotels has revealed a contract with Fujita Corp to open Alila Sengokuhara Hakone– arranged in the area of Sengokuhara in the mountainous region of Hakone– noting the Alila brand’s very first real estate in Japan. The commercial property is arranged to open in 2028.
The hotel is developed to blend right into the natural surroundings, with Japanese company Kengo Kuma and Associates appointed as the project’s architect.
